“The collection, beginning with a credenza, reinterprets the traditional 神枱—a place for honoring ancestors and housing memories. The design is inspired by the idea of a “traveling companion,” using modular components that resemble portable trunks or shrines, similar to the ritual of a Japanese ramen cart being set up and broken down. It was an honor getting to craft a story about this credenza because of how it expressed it was intended to take ahold of the space in people’s lives over generations.” - Ai Kojima
